Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Executive Compensation Professional to drive the strategic design and development of executive compensation programs at our portfolio companies.
The role requires a deep understanding of compensation frameworks and market trends, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and board members.
The incumbent will be part of a team which believes that executive compensation design can, indirectly, enhance the investment returns from Temasek’s portfolio companies.
The incumbent will be engaged in several engagements which are high-involvement compensation plan designs and also be required to focus on providing guidance to portfolio companies on executive compensation matters.
This extends to portfolio companies in all markets, across industries and in different stages of their life cycles (Series A to Mature).
Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to investment teams and portfolio companies on latter’s executive compensation

Develop and implement executive compensation strategies, including short- and long-term incentive plans (including) equity programs for portfolio companies

Evaluate executive compensation design proposals developed by portfolio companies

Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including portfolio company executives and investment team executives, to understand business goals and to ensure that their executive compensation strategies are aligned with these goals

Reflect industry and market-specific nuances in the designs and evaluations

Analyze market data to advise on executive pay structures and best practices

Monitoring trends and developments across industries and markets
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in executive compensation

The role is at the cusp of HR and Finance. It requires:

Strong domain knowledge of Executive Compensation

Understanding the basics of Corporate Finance and the basics of analyzing the financials of companies

Strong analytical, written communication and presentation skills
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and advise at the senior level
-
Strong background in navigating complex stakeholder dynamics.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with C-suite executives, boards, and portfolio companies.

Proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis related to compensation programs.
