Introduction
Temasek’s Technology team is shaping the next generation of enterprise platforms as the firm advances its use of forward-looking, agentic AI. This role will be central to building the secure, scalable and governed foundations that enable AI agents to support investment, enterprise and operational workflows across the firm. Working across technology, architecture, cybersecurity, transformation and business teams, the VP Agentic AI Platform will help define how agentic capabilities are designed, orchestrated and adopted responsibly at enterprise scale.
Responsibilities
You will define how AI agents are built and run across Temasek's digital platforms. This includes setting the architecture for how agents are orchestrated, how memory and models are managed, and how developers across the firm build on top of common platforms like Copilot Studio and Gemini Enterprise.
You will work closely with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to make sure the right controls and monitoring are in place. You stay current on where agentic AI is heading and help the broader organisation keep pace.
Platform Strategy and Architecture
- Define the technical strategy for the agentic AI platform, covering orchestration, agent design patterns, memory management, model gateway, and developer tooling.
- Establish standards and reference architectures for how agents are built on Copilot Studio, Gemini Enterprise, and other common platforms adopted by the firm.
- Own the platform roadmap and ensure it remains aligned with both near-term delivery needs and longer-term technology direction.
Security and Governance
- Work with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to define and agree on security controls for agentic systems, including access management, data handling, and audit logging.
- Ensure platform-level monitoring is in place to provide visibility into agent behavior, performance, and potential risks.
- Maintain a clear view of compliance and governance requirements as the platform scales across business units.
Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with digital fluency team to make platform capabilities accessible to a broader set of citizen developers across the firm.
- Act as a go-to person for teams looking to build on agentic platform, providing guidance on patterns, tooling and best practices.
- Communicate platform decisions and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Trends and Innovation
- Continuously track developments in the agentic AI ecosystem, including new frameworks, models, and platform capabilities, and translate these into actionable recommendations for the team.
- Evaluate emerging tools and patterns for relevance to Temasek's context and advise on when to adopt, monitor, or defer.
Requirements
Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or AI/ML infrastructure, with at least 2 years working on AI or agentic systems in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with at least one agent platforms or frameworks (e.g., Copilot Studio, Gemini Enterprise, or similar).
- Experience working across cross-functional teams, including security, architecture, and business stakeholders.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong grasp of agentic AI concepts, such as orchestration patterns, tool use, memory architectures, and multi-agent coordination.
- Ability to define standards and make platform decisions that balance technical rigour with practical usability.
- Clear communicator who can work with engineers and business teams alike.
- Intellectually curious, is someone who actively follows developments in AI space and brings insights back to the team.
