Introduction

This role is within the newly formed international market team.

Responsibilities

  • Sector research: Work closely with sector teams to conduct deep dives across priority sectors and develop robust investment theses. Actively monitor market, regulatory and industry trends impacting key sectors and assess implications for the investment pipeline and existing portfolio  
  • Investment: Work with the team to identify, assess and execute investment opportunities across across funds, co-investments and direct investments. Leading various transaction workstreams including due diligence, financial modelling, drafting of investment papers, co-ordination of internal approval processes and legal documentation. Monitor the existing investment portfolio by tracking company performance and staying current on industry and regulatory developments 
  • PortCo Expansion: Support the team and Portfolio company management in developing market mapping, identifying and assessing opportunities, coordinating introductions and execution to facilitate market entry and expansion across relevant industries 
  • Partnerships: Support the team in deepening relationships with the ecosystem players, and in developing, structuring and executing regional and international partnerships and co-investment initiatives 
  • Other Projects: Support ad hoc projects, reporting and institutional knowledge-building initiatives (e.g., pipeline tracking, market updates, playbooks) to strengthen the team's operating rhythm 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working experience in private equity and/or corporate finance (e.g. with a top-tier investment bank) and/or corporates in business development role/                                                                       
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, operate independently, and build new initiatives from the ground up in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with comfort in collaborating with diverse stakeholders and operating in a cross-border, multicultural environment 
  • Strong technical, analytical and financial modelling skills, with a strong understanding of financial statements; familiarity with electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ). 
  • Role is based in Singapore with a contract period 1 year with the option to extend.
