Introduction
The Product Manager, Applied AI & Incubation operates at the edge of the investment platforms. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for internal applied AI products and tactical automations — from problem framing and business cases through to rapid prototyping, validation, and transition, in particular for investment and its operations.
You will work at the intersection of investment workflows, agentic AI platform capabilities, and user experience, defining what to build, why it matters, and how success is measured. You will need to be an active, technically engaged product builder validating solutions in weeks instead of quarters. Once a prototype demonstrates undeniable user value, you will work with our core engineering team and/or SaaS vendors for enterprise scaling.
Responsibilities
Applied AI Product Ownership & Validation
- Own the 0-to-1 lifecycle for tactical AI products and agents: discovery, opportunity sizing, rapid prototyping, launch, and adoption.
- Drive hands-on discovery: shadow investment workflows, analyze friction points, and build fast proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Set the evaluation strategy: define success metrics, build evaluation frameworks, and enforce strict kill/scale criteria to prevent building unadopted tools.
Business-to-AI Translation
- Translate investment and operations workflows into actionable AI specs, including data inputs, agent behaviors, and acceptable error tolerances.
- Bridge business users and engineering: align expectations on model capabilities and communicate performance transparently.
Cross-Functional Execution & Graduation
- Design the off-ramp: hand off validated products, architectural context, and telemetry to platform leads for enterprise hardening.
- Partner with core platform engineering to turn successful tactical patterns into reusable platform components.
- Maintain execution velocity by actively resolving cross-team dependencies and escalating blockers with clear context.
Requirements
Experience and Background
- 4+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in product management, with a track record of owning software or AI products from problem framing through to deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to ship lightweight products or prototypes that real users adopt and depend on—proving value quickly before committing heavy engineering resources.
- Sufficient technical depth to engage substantively with AI architecture: able to navigate prompt engineering, understand the implications of model selection, use rapid prototyping environments (e.g., Python, LangChain, API integrations), and participate in evaluation framework design. Some understanding of SaaS AI offerings will also be helpful.
- Preferred domain experience in capital markets —investment research, portfolio management, operations, or execution — is a strong advantage to deeply understand the workflows you are building for.
