Introduction
The Internal Audit team is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Data & AI Analyst (AVP) to join our Internal Audit (IA) team. This role will drive the use of data analytics, AI, and automation to transform how audits are conducted and how IA partners with the business.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on AI and data practitioner who can bridge business and technical domains — someone who can build solutions, communicate their value clearly, and inspire others to adopt new ways of working. We’re looking for a curious, collaborative professional who thrives on solving complex problems and driving meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
Data Analytics Strategy & Execution
- Lead and deliver end-to-end analytics projects, from audit support to continuous monitoring initiatives.
- Design and manage data pipelines across extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization.
- Maintain and evolve the analytics environment for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Build and expand an analytics library of risks, controls, and metrics to strengthen audit coverage.
- Apply advanced analytics and machine learning to proactively identify risks and insights.
AI & GenAI Innovation
- Lead the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance audit efficiency and insight generation.
- Design, prototype, and integrate AI-powered solutions into core IA workflows (e.g., planning, documentation, control testing).
- Apply and share prompt engineering and context design best practices to improve GenAI reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with Technology and Data teams to productionize AI and automation solutions.
- Stay current with emerging trends in AI, data science, and audit technology, identifying practical applications for IA.
Data Application & Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and applications that support risk monitoring and audit execution.
- Translate analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights for business and audit stakeholders.
- Partner with audit, technology, and business teams to embed analytics and AI into day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Expertise across the data lifecycle — from engineering (ingestion, transformation, modeling) to analytics, visualization, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI platforms, including user-facing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Studio) and developer APIs (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
- Strong grounding in prompt engineering and context optimization, applying structured techniques for reliable, explainable outputs.
- Able to translate technical insights into business impact through clear, persuasive storytelling.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, filling gaps through structured thinking, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Trusted, collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and integrates well within and outside of IA.
- Curious and proactive, continuously exploring new tools, methods, and ideas to drive innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, AI, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in data analytics, data science, process automation, or AI.
- Proven track record leading complex analytics or AI projects from concept to deployment.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional and business teams, influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
Preferred Experience
- Translating business or audit challenges into AI and data-driven solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Understanding of data governance and responsible AI principles.
- Exposure to front-end data app development (e.g., Streamlit, Power Apps) preferred but not required.
- Experience delivering AI or analytics solutions at scale.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to engage and influence non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated curiosity, innovation, and impact orientation within teams or organizations.
What You'll Gain
- A front-row seat in shaping the future of Internal Audit through data, AI, and automation.
- Hands-on experience driving AI transformation in a real-world assurance environment.
- Exposure to emerging technologies including GenAI, LLMs, and cloud-based data architectures.
