Job Description: 

Temasek’s Public Affairs department is looking to hire full time interns to support Public Affairs’ digital content marketing team for the Temasek Review campaign (www.temasekreview.com.sg). The role will cover the following core areas: digital and social content development, community management and digital project management. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in planning, creating and executing a multi-channel communications and marketing campaign.

 

The Temasek Review is Temasek’s annual disclosure of our portfolio performance and a public marker that is shared with local and international stakeholders. 

 

The launch of the Temasek Review is supported by an extensive marketing and communications campaign across owned, earned, and paid channels that includes media engagements in Temasek’s key markets, production of printed Temasek Reviews (in English and Chinese), and production of the campaign microsites (in English and Chinese), social media activations, as well as print and digital advertisements. 

 

Content development for Temasek’s digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn involves:

  • Assisting in the ideation, creation, production, editing and proof-reading of content (e.g., image and video capture and editing, online visual design, blog-styled stories)
  • Contributing towards the development and maintenance of various editorial calendars
  • Supporting the ideation and creation of social-oriented creatives/assets, as well as content amplification and social ad buy strategies as part of a content marketing strategy and campaign 
  • Assisting in community management, and replying to relevant questions and comments on Temasek’s social media accounts
  • Working closely with the Temasek Review Microsite team to support and launch the campaign

Project management involves:

  • Working with agency partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely progress and completion of projects
  • Tracking the performance of content to ensure media buying, social engagement and business objectives are met.

 

Requirements: 

  • Interested applicants must submit both a cover letter and resume (in PDF format). Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
  • Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 10 to 12 weeks, starting earliest from end April 2024 till early August, and will still be enrolled with a recognised university by the end of the internship.
  • Please indicate your availability (start and end date) and expected graduation date.
  • University undergraduates pursuing any of these majors/degrees: Communications Studies, Journalism, Mass Communication, Film & Media, Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Accountancy and Finance. We also welcome applicants from other liberal arts disciplines such as Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Chinese Studies, and Linguistics. 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Basic proficiency with photo and video editing programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • In the peak period leading up to the launch of Temasek Review (typically from mid-June till mid-July), interns must be prepared to work overtime as well as to be physically in-office over weekends and public holiday(s) when required.
  • Please note that we may also request for samples of your past written assignments/works and/or creative portfolios.
  • Candidates may also be considered for other internship roles within the wider Temasek Review project team 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrates a keen interest in new digital media and means of communication 
  • Passionate about the use of digital mediums and technology to tell meaningful stories
  • Good understanding of campaigns and marketing on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to come up with original digital/social marketing concepts and ideas 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior internship experience(s) at a public relations agency or an organisation's Corporate Communications/ Marketing/ Public Affairs department will be considered a strong plus.
  • Adaptable team player who can function in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi-task, and handle complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Actively listen to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of assignment expectations (deadlines and deliverables)
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and an eagerness to learn
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to identify, manage and resolve issues
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Demonstrate discipline and resilience in being able to work long hours and within tight deadlines.
  • Possess integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive information
