Job Description:
Temasek’s Public Affairs department is looking to hire full-time interns to support the launch of the 2025 Temasek Review (TR) as well as support other day-to-day communications and marketing tasks. This internship will give you an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in planning and executing a multi-channel communications and marketing campaign.
The TR (www.temasekreview.com.sg) is Temasek’s annual disclosure of our portfolio performance and a public marker that is shared with local and international stakeholders.
The TR launch comprises an extensive marketing and communications campaign across owned, earned, and paid channels, including media engagements in key markets; production of printed TR Highlights and the TR microsites in English and Chinese; and social media activations, as well as print and digital advertisements.
For us to better understand your interest, please indicate your top three preferred teams (see list of sub-teams interns who will be assigned to support the TR launch).
Successful candidates will be allocated to one team for the duration of their internship. This will only be made known upon onboarding. Selection will be based on the candidate’s work experience, background, skills, and interests, while taking into consideration the overall team’s needs.
English Content
- Develop and compile English-language content and narratives for the English-language version of the Temasek Review.
Chinese Content
- Translate all English-language Temasek Review assets to Chinese, such as the Temasek Review report, press release, presentation slides to media etc, as well as the creation of other Chinese-language content and assets.
Design
- Conceptualise, develop, and produce the overall campaign identity and other visuals that will be used across the Temasek Review campaign.
Data Visualisation
- Collate and visualise financial, ESG, and institutional data that will be used across various Temasek Review collaterals.
Book Production for English and Chinese publications
- Produce the printed TR Highlights (English and Chinese) by working with publishing agencies for content development, translation, layout, production, and printing.
Print Advertising
- Design and execute a local print advertising campaign to amplify key messages from the Temasek Review campaign in an easy-to-read format.
Media Outreach
- Develop and execute media outreach programmes to share Temasek Review key messages and institutional updates with media in Singapore and across key international markets.
Web Development and Management for Campaign Microsites and Corporate Website
- Design, develop, and maintain the English and Chinese Temasek Review microsites as well as corporate website to ensure optimal user experience.
Digital Content Marketing
- Ideate, create, and publish content to amplify Temasek Review key messages and engage with Temasek’s audiences on various digital platforms.
Requirements:
- Interested applicants must submit both a cover letter and resume (in PDF format). Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
- Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 10 to 12 weeks, preferably from end April 2025 till early August, and will still be enrolled with a recognised university by the end of the internship.
- Please indicate your availability (start and end date) and expected graduation date.
- University undergraduates pursuing any of these majors/degrees: Communications Studies, Journalism, Mass Communication, Film & Media, Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Accountancy and Finance. We also welcome applicants from other liberal arts disciplines such as Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Chinese Studies, and Linguistics.
- In the peak period leading up to the launch of Temasek Review (typically from mid-June till mid-July), interns must be prepared to work overtime as well as to be physically in-office over weekends and public holiday(s) when required.
- Do note that we may request for samples of your past written assignments/works and/or creative portfolios.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- For the Chinese Content team, applicants must either have native or professional proficiency in Chinese.
- Prior internship experience(s) at a public relations agency or an organisation's Corporate Communications/ Marketing/ Public Affairs department will also be considered a strong plus.
- Adaptive in fast paced environment and able to multi-task and handle complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Actively listen to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of assignment expectations (deadlines and deliverables).
- Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and an eagerness to learn.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to identify, manage, and resolve issues.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Able to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.
- Possess integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive information.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
