Introduction
Rapid AI advancements, an ageing society, geopolitical forces and other megatrends are having an impact on jobs, skills and ways of working. In this dynamic and turbulent time, Temasek’s Workforce 4.0 team has a mission to shape the future of work and influence the strategy for boosting workforce resilience in Temasek’s extensive ecosystem of strategic assets and investments.
At Workforce 4.0, you will be part of a team that helms strategic initiatives to drive our Workforce 4.0 agenda, towards Temasek’s T2030 strategy of building a resilient and forward-looking portfolio. The team leverages Temasek’s ecosystem footprint, Centres of Excellence, as well as catalytic capital to advance human capital through workforce-related strategies and initiatives.
You will gain first-hand insight and access to thought leadership on how organisations are rethinking traditional talent management and workforce development strategies in light of AI and other megatrends. You’ll get the opportunity to shape transformative strategies in this area. You will also get to network with influential stakeholders in business, government and the labour movement.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the conceptualisation and validation of workforce resilience proposals/ideas
- Contribute to the development of strategies to obtain buy-in for these proposals/ideas, and contribute to the implementation of these proposals/ideas
- Conduct horizon scans of emerging workforce-related trends, technologies and regulations, deploying the use of AI as needed to ensure timely updates so that the team is ‘ahead of the curve’
- Support the planning, organisation and management of workforce-related initiatives, including engagement and networking platforms, and executive briefing sessions
- Support implementation of the annual Temasek Tripartite Conversations (content development and stakeholder management)

Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Business, Economics, Environmental Sciences, HR, Humanities/Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy, Law or related fields. Year 2 and 3 students are welcomed to apply.
- Relevant internship experience in government/trade relations/public policy or working in a matrix organisation would be a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate and present work effectively
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Highly professional and discreet, able to maintain confidentiality on projects, especially when dealing with sensitive information
- Experience with emerging skills in the new AI-led economy such as familiarity with large language models (LLM), GenAI use case development and prompt engineering would be a plus
