Introduction
Investment Services (IS) serves as a value partner by delivering end-to-end investment support services to advance investment strategies. With a focus on operational excellence and scalability through digital innovation, IS bring together all investment support services spanning from deal advisory, valuation, trade and life cycle operations, enterprise and core data management, data and analytics enablement, investment accounting and sustainability reporting to deliver business outcomes.
The Sustainability Reporting team enables the firm's sustainability journey through quality sustainability reporting and insights for decision making. This is achieved by actively engaging key standard setters to support Temasek’s representation on accounting and sustainability reporting matters.
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Investment Services (Sustainability Reporting) (“SR”) team. In this role, you will support SR-related workstreams including the publication of Temasek’s annual Sustainability Report. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the sustainability reporting space and contribute to our organisation’s ambitions towards net zero, nature positivity and inclusive growth.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of Annual Sustainability Report.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement best practices in sustainability reporting, in ensuring compliance with relevant reporting guidelines and industry standards.
- Facilitate effective communication efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor sustainability reporting standards, frameworks, and regulations.
- Assist in generating insights and sharing knowledge with the team, based on sustainability data analysis, emerging sustainability trends, best practices, and reporting methodologies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in sustainability, environmental science, accountancy, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sustainability and willingness to learn about sustainability reporting.
- Basic understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks, and reporting standards (such as ISSB, TCFD, SASB, GRI, etc) is a plus.
- Prior experience or coursework in sustainability reporting, or related areas is a plus.
- Familiarity with sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to think critically.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and other visualisation tools.
