Introduction
The Portfolio Strategy & Risk Group Office (PSRGO) is responsible for overseeing and being accountable for Temasek’s Asset Management Companies (AMCs). The team is seeking an intern to support ongoing portfolio monitoring and contribute to the effective management of our AMCs.
Responsibilities
1. Strategy assessment, formulation and implementation:
Assessment:
- Assist in developing clear perspectives on underlying strategies and products across Temasek’s Asset Management Companies (AMCs).
- Support the identification of underperforming assets and contribute to recommendations for restructuring strategies to improve portfolio performance
- Help scale performing strategies by working closely with AMCs and leveraging Temasek ecosystem to enhance AUM and profitability.
Implementation:
- Participate in the execution of strategic plans (organic and inorganic), collaborating with internal teams and AMC stakeholders
2. Portfolio Monitoring:
- Support regular performance analysis of underlying strategies and product for key AMCs, benchmarking against aligned objectives.
- Assist in preparing detailed reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and market trends for internal review and senior management presentations
Requirements
- Basic understanding of corporate finance and investment concept
- Prior exposure to assessment management or working with general partners (GPs) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across teams with external stakeholders.
