Introduction
The Investor Stewardship (IS) function within Temasek is accountable for various aspects of the exercise of rights and responsibilities that come with owning securities in our investees. It involves engaging with the investee’s management and board of directors on various issues that may affect the long-term value and performance of the company, such as strategy, governance, risk management, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and capital allocation.
Responsibilities
Research and build database on key investors in various sectors (aviation, energy service providers, utilities, etc.) and geographies.
Support investor outreach and engagement.
Manage database to track evolution of investor base for select companies.
Prepare case studies of companies with positive and negative investor relations practices.
Assist research on efforts to rejuvenate capital markets in select geographies.
Manage team’s relationship management database.
Requirements
Currently pursuing degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, or related fields
Relevant experience in proxy voting or investment stewardship or public policy or compliance would be a plus
Strong analytical skill and details to numbers
Able to work well with diverse teams and deal with multiple stakeholders A bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or a related field
