Introduction
Temasek is seeking curious and technically strong Analytics & AI Interns to join our Internal Audit (IA) team. In this role, you will get a front-row seat to how data analytics and AI are reshaping audit workflows, working across business and technology audits to bridge technical execution with audit insight.
Responsibilities
AI Innovation
-
Prototype AI solutions and test AI-powered workflows to enhance audit processes.

Apply structured prompt engineering techniques to improve the reliability and accuracy of GenAI outputs.

Explore and utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract insights from unstructured data (e.g., contracts, policies, transcripts).
Data Analytics Application & Reporting

Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, performing data extraction and transformation across structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks.

Work with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) to strengthen audit coverage and continuous monitoring initiatives.

Develop and maintain interactive visualizations and operational dashboards using tools like Tableau or Streamlit.
Business Audit & Technology Audit Support

Provide ad-hoc support for core business and technology audits to build a foundational understanding of enterprise risks and controls.

Participate in process walkthroughs and control testing to better identify opportunities where data analytics and AI solutions can be applied to traditional audit fieldwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns who are able to commit to a full-time (5 days/week) or a minimum of part-time (4 days/week) internship is strongly preferred.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, AI, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience building AI agents using tools such as Copilot Studio, Claude, or Gemini, and developing simple analytics or AI applications (e.g., Streamlit)
- Proficiency in in data science, analysis and visualisation using SQL, Python and Tableau
- Curious, collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and proactiveness. Eager to learn technology and audit methodologies to imrpove audit processes

Professional, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Prior internship experience in data, technology, audit or financial services would be highly advantageous.
