Introduction
Temasek’s Public Affairs team seeks to position, project, and protect the Temasek brand and reputation. The team is made up of three pillars:
- Brand Building and Positioning
- Media, Transactions, and Issues Management
- Reputation Management
We adopt an agile and multidisciplinary approach to communicate and engage with our stakeholders as well as to deepen their understanding of Temasek – what we do and why we do the things that we do. This work includes proactive media and issues management. We also directly reach out to external audiences on our social platforms, curating and developing content for more meaningful storytelling.
This internship position supports Public Affairs’ Digital Newsroom function in strategic storytelling, digital content development, content marketing and strategic digital communications through visual media creation (videos, graphics, animations etc), short-form and long-form writing, and project and campaign management.
Responsibilities
- Support on digital communications strategy: research, ideate and execute campaigns aligned with key messages and strategic priorities
- Conceptualisation and development of original short and medium-format video content for web and social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Telegram), anchored to institutional narrative themes and identified external audiences.
- All facets of video production including shooting, scripting, transcribing, editing, voiceover work and presenting as and when required.
- Creation and development of illustrations through infographics and animations to support corporate and institutional narratives told through a digital storytelling lens.
- Supporting on the writing of original short-form (social media posts) and long-form (articles) across Temasek’s channels
- Content analytics: track performance of visual asset deliverables to ensure campaign objectives are met.
- Managing vendors and content partners in content creation and campaign execution.
Requirements
- Open to undergraduates in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields. Students from other disciplines with a strong interest in public affairs and communications are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing is a plus.
- Comfortable with using Microsoft Office 265 (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with photo/video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) is an advantage for digital content roles.
- Basic proficiency in using Generative AI and AI tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot and ChatGPT to drive productivity and process efficiency.
- Able to commit full-time from July/August to December 2026 (6 months) while remaining enrolled in a recognised university.
