Introduction
The Strategy Office ("SO") supports the firm’s Corporate Strategy development and implementation, by providing oversight, coordination, management and support for its long-term strategic roadmaps (eg. “T2030”) and other strategic initiatives (eg. external partnerships, franchise building & positioning, firm enablement & future-readiness). SO works closely with other functions and departments within the firm to ensure collaboration, alignment and the delivery of our institutional objectives.
Responsibilities
- Delivery - Develop, manage, implement and/or support the firm’s Corporate Strategy initiatives and workstreams.
- Team Management - Lead and guide the SO working team to deliver on our Corporate Strategy responsibilities and outcomes.
- Talent Development - Build and develop the talent and capabilities within the SO working team, and other collaborating teams within the firm.
- Reporting - Report to the Joint Heads (Managing Directors) of Corporate Strategy; Direct Reports will include members of the SO working team.
Requirements
- Strategic Agility & Adaptive Coverage – Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex issues into clear insights, while contributing across a wide range of concurrent strategy projects at varying stages of development.
- Sound Judgment & Executive Presence – Maturity to work on senior-level issues with discretion, and confidence to engage C-suite stakeholders on strategic topics.
- Collaborative Partnership & Effective Engagement – Proven ability to lead through influence, working seamlessly across functions and geographies, and engaging stakeholders across levels with clarity and credibility
- Enterprise Mindset & Execution Orientation – Experience in enterprise-wide strategic planning, and aligning functional and business strategies with long-term institutional objectives in previous roles. Ability to shift from high-level strategy to actionable planning, driving initiatives from insight through to implementation, with attention to detail and timelines. Be willing to roll up sleeves and often do the work and not just direct team members
- Top-tier Strategy Consulting Background – Ideally min. 10 years of experience, including 5 years at a global strategy consultancy firm, with exposure to large-scale corporate strategy, transformation, and investment-related topics
- Prior Engagement with Investment/ PE Firms, Sovereign Wealth Funds or Long-term Capital Providers – Experience advising or working with investment/ private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, or similar institutions.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development – Experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and contributing to capability-building within strategy or related function
