Introduction

Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and protect Temasek’s reputation. Reporting functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Temasek Holdings, and administratively to the CEO, Internal Audit helps Temasek accomplish its objectives by bringing a risk-based, systematic and disciplined approach to efficiently evaluate and improve the effectiveness of its risk management, internal controls and governance processes.  

 

The intern will support the Internal Audit team in technology auditing, leveraging AI validation tools, and automation initiatives. The key responsibilities include developing audit programs, performing assurance reviews, conducting risk assessments, exploring automation opportunities, and evaluating AI validation toolkits.

Responsibilities

Assurance Augmentation

  • Develop and review audit programs referencing industry frameworks to identify non-compliance and control weaknesses
  • Perform risk assessment of the gaps to identify potential impact and associated risks 
  • Explore automation opportunities of audit testing and review by leveraging enterprise RPA tools

 

AI Assessment

  • Explore different AI validation toolkits (e.g. AI Verify Toolkit and MS Pyrit) and AI management standards (e.g. ISO 42001) to enhance AI audit objectives
  • Review the AI validation tools to help identify the scope of the validation and mapping them against types of AI enabled applications and risks
  • Build or setup an AI validation platform incorporating the AI validation tools and frameworks

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity)
  • Strong interest in assurance, risk, and cybersecurity and in exploring the security of generative AI and the use of large language models (LLMs) within a company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in reviewing the results of validation testing and system implementation
  • Proficiency in Python, intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Demonstrates accountability, strives for high-quality outcomes, detail-oriented, highly professional and able to maintain confidentiality on sensitive information
  • Capable of working autonomously, taking initiative, and managing time and multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate and present work effectively
  • Ability to work effectively with team members in a collaborative environment, actively contribute ideas, and be pleasant to work with
