Team

The Innovation team invests in funds, platforms and direct investment opportunities across the global venture and growth-stage ecosystem. The team backs disruptive technologies and category-defining companies, with a core geographic focus on North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the team in identifying key sectoral developments and assessing fund and direct investment opportunities in early-stage/high-growth sectors.
  • Conducting research and financial analysis on assigned sub-sectors and relevant companies and funds.
  • Developing financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees.
  • Structuring and consummating new fund and direct investments as well as pursuing divestments where appropriate.
  • Monitoring existing portfolio assets and new investments (where applicable) against investment theses.
  • Establishing and cultivating relationships (including travel) with companies, fund partners, research analysts, and other relevant institutions.
  • Assisting with team’s regular portfolio reporting and periodic firm-wide strategic initiatives.

Who Should Apply

Candidates with:

  • Excellent academic qualifications in any discipline and passion for investing.
  • 1-2 years of full-time working experience in venture capital/private equity, investment banking, and corporate finance.
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities, including experience building operating, valuation and return models to assess investment opportunities, portfolio performance, and potential exit outcomes.
  • High level of interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within diverse teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently.
  • Familiar with use of appropriate electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ, etc) for business and industry information research and productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Pitchbook, Preqin, etc).
