Introduction

Operations Data Sourcing, as the Data Subscription Category Owner, serves as the central governance and strategy lead for all data subscriptions, managing a growing portfolio of 150+ contracts across market data, compliance, portfolio management, and specialized tools. The team currently operates with 1 FTE and 3 contractors covering both category owner and Data Sourcing Admin baseload and projects.

Responsibilities

Data Landscape & Business Intelligence (Key)

  • Support the development of the data landscape by conducting user surveys ahead of contract renewals, consolidating business use cases, performing market and data analysis, and ensuring fully managed data contracts are AI-ready where feasible.
  • Drive Single Sign-On (SSO) onboarding prioritization for data subscriptions in partnership with Technology teams.
  • Coordinate central training initiatives for platforms such as Euromonitor and Eurasia.

 

Automation & Efficiency Initiatives (Key)

  • Oversee automation upkeep and enhancement initiatives, including leavers' workflow automation, Bloomberg Exchange optimization, and Expert Network exception checks.
  • Drive 2026 efficiency pipeline priorities, including:
    • BBG DL+ Management – automate data consumption reporting at application level
    • Subscription budget management automation (Phase 2)
    • Enterprise Subscription Portal Enhancement (Phase 2)
    • End-to-end automation from contracting, user allocation, and payment (MyP2P upload automations, Chat AI, HR hierarchy SF ingestion) in collaboration with AI-Innovation Team
    • Collaborate with L&R and Tech to build "Data Contracts Playbook Counsel" AI agent to review data contracts <$100k against approved playbook

AI & Strategic Initiatives (Key)

  • Support the delivery of AI4IG initiatives, including data subscription proof-of-concept (POC) and onboarding, and enabling AI capabilities on existing contracts aligned with the AI pipeline.
  • Roll out AI capabilities for vendors offering AI connectivity at no additional cost, including Third Bridge Forum MCP and PitchBook MCP.   

 

Data Subscription Budget & Financial Management

  • Support the annual subscription budget cycle, including planning, review, and coordination of data subscription spend across ~$28M in enterprise subscriptions (Fully Managed ~$13M & Centrally Managed ~$15M).
  • Manage monthly reporting on key metrics, including Bloomberg Data License usage by applications, cost savings and cost avoidance, and World-Check refresh status.
  • Support firm-wide enterprise data subscription budget reconciliation and FYE variance checks (budget against actuals).
  • Responsible for financial transparency in cost allocation for contracts centrally managed by Data Sourcing; generate quarterly allocation files to Finance for cost attribution to individual business cost centers based on vendor usage files.

 

Contract & Vendor Management

  • Manage new contract onboarding activities, including OEM FlexTrade, New Bloomberg SAPI, Bloomberg TPPA, Sanctions Data, Exchange, and FIA-Tech exchange position limits.
  • Support the PICS and CAFS refresh cycle scheduled for 2026, covering vendors due for five-year review.
  • Monitor the decentralized contract universe and onboard contracts through the Data Subscription Framework, while balancing ROI considerations for long-tail or niche contracts.
  • Support onboarding of new expert network vendors, including Guidepoint and Dialectica.
  • Prepare one-page compliance summaries outlining terms of use for approximately 40 contracts.

Requirements

  • BS in Science/Quantitative/Engineering/Computing or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  •  Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Understanding of market data functions and services, and the ability to see how each work stream's process integrates, will be an advantage.
  • Notably strong analytical and decision-making capabilities; process- and workflow-oriented with the ability to size up issues quickly and adopt progressive steps to resolve situations, knowing how/when to escalate.
  • Possess a strategic focus with the ability to analyze and understand the data and investment business; able to formulate and implement robust processes.
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience or strong interest in automation, dashboard development, and workflow improvement tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, Power Automate) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of external providers (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Refinitiv, MSCI) will be an advantage. (For internal screening only)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driven, self-starter, adaptable, and organized, with the ability to multi-task well in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well across different teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
