Associate/Senior Associate, Investment (Real Estate)

Introduction

The real estate team invests in equity and credit opportunities across US, Europe, and Asia. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure from investing and managing a large and diversified portfolio, including public and private investments at both asset-level and company-level.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the process of identifying and assessing investment opportunities in real estate equity and credit, including research and financial analysis on target companies
• Constantly developing and renewing industry/sector knowledge as well as macro and regulatory changes
• Monitoring market trends and closely tracking existing portfolio assets to support investment/divestment making decisions
• Performing deal evaluation, due diligence, industry/company analysis, financial modeling, and preparing necessary materials for recommendation to investment committee
• Regular monitoring and preparation of reports on the performance of portfolio companies
• Establishing and cultivating relationships with companies, corporate partners and other relevant institutions

Requirements

• Working Experience: 1-3 years of working experience with a top-tier investment bank, private equity firm, corporate finance, M&A and/or accounting firm; preferably with some exposure to the Real Estate industry
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• High level of interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
• Able to work well within diverse teams and deal with multiple stakeholders
• Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
• Familiar with use of appropriate electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ, etc) for business and industry information research and productivity tools
