Introduction

The Temasek Community Stewardship (CS) team is responsible for managing Temasek’s philanthropic assets and advancing community initiatives that connect people, uplift communities, protect the planet and advance capabilities in Singapore and beyond.

 

This role will report to the Director, Community Stewardship, and operates as part of a common resource pool, with tasks assigned based on organisational needs, and with scope to contribute across multiple workstreams.

 

The successful applicant will work closely with internal stakeholders within Temasek, including our international offices, as well as ecosystem players such as Temasek Trust and Temasek Foundation and our Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs). He/she will be expected to contribute to or build Temasek's network of external partners who can amplify our impact.

Responsibilities

Network Development & Partnerships

  • Deepen engagement and build strategic partnerships with Temasek’s ecosystem of corporates and non-profits (e.g. Temasek Portfolio Companies, Temasek Trust and other Temasek non-profit entities) to drive collaborative giving for impact, bridge collaboration opportunities and share insights
  • Identify, cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. government, external partners, internal stakeholders), supporting Temasek’s social licence to operate through high-quality engagement and disciplined follow-through


Giving Initiatives

  • Support the team’s work in curating and managing Temasek’s giving initiatives to build relationship capital and franchise value in the markets we operate in
  • Work in partnership with Temasek teams in Singapore and international offices to shape regional themes, focus areas, partner mapping, and develop targeted partnership pathways across markets


Others

  • Contribute to broader Community Stewardship workstreams including communications strategy and staff volunteering initiatives
  • Assist the supervising Director on ad-hoc projects as and when assigned

Requirements

  • A successful professional, with a degree and having worked 10 - 15 years in a large corporate environment
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame issues quickly and generate insights/solutions through information
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify the highest value priorities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness to work and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment; able to process changes in direction quickly while maintaining high quality output; embraces ambiguity
  • Clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information quickly, identify key takeaways, and derive actionable insights
  • Strong skills in business writing and developing presentations for senior audiences
  • Balance attention to detail with timely execution
  • Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
  • Collaborator who can work well within diverse teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in finance and familiarity with reviewing legal contracts is a plus
  • Experience in the social sector or policy work in international organisations will be an advantage
