Introduction
Temasek Singapore (“TSG”) actively stewards Singapore-based Temasek Portfolio Companies (“TPCs”) – partnering them for the long term, supporting their continued growth, strengthening their foundations, and enabling them to remain globally competitive while staying rooted in Singapore.
The Ecosystem Enablement team within TSG (“TSG-EE”) supports the development of a resilient and vibrant Temasek ecosystem in Singapore. Working closely with investment and portfolio development teams, TSG-EE assesses relevant public policy developments, strengthen relationships with government officials, regulators, and trade unions, and helps unlock commercial opportunities for Temasek and its ecosystem.
The successful candidate will support Temasek’s public policy and stakeholder engagement efforts across priority domains. The role involves assessing policy developments, shaping policy positions, building strategic external relationships, and driving engagements that advance project priorities and commercial outcomes.
The candidate will work closely with the Director and partner with internal teams across Portfolio Development and other investment groups.
Responsibilities
- Policy analysis: Assess policy and regulatory developments relevant to Temasek’s ecosystem
- Stakeholder mapping and prioritisation: Identify and priorities key stakeholders across government, regulators, trade unions, and other ecosystem partners
- Engagement strategy and relationship management: Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies in priority domains (e.g. energy transition, sustainability, resilience, and digital) and build strategic relationships that support Temasek’s policy objectives and business priorities
- Platform and forum management: Plan and manage key stakeholder meetings, engagement forums, and networking platforms
- Commercial translation: Translate policy insights and engagement into actionable recommendations and commercial opportunities
- Cross-functional delivery: Lead cross-functional workstreams involving multiple internal teams
Requirements
- Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business Management, Economics or a related field
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in public policy, government relations or a related role
- Strong understanding of Singapore’s policy landscape and stakeholders
- Established network within Singapore government and ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders, with good knowledge of protocol management
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Proven ability to manage complex issues in a dynamic environment
- Strong interest in the intersection of policy, business, sustainability, technology, and economic development
- Exposure to strategy work within a government agency or corporate would be advantageous
