Responsibilities
- Support data analytics initiative to derive investment insights from our fund portfolio through:
- Capturing fund and underlying portfolio company investment and fundamental performance metrics (“Portfolio Mining”) from fund quarterly reports within specified timelines
- Working with external service provider to validate accuracy of outputs in preparation for data ingestion by analytics engine
- Managing of data analytics workflow including report management/monitoring, ingestion of data into analytics engine and troubleshooting/testing
- Analyzing the data output by analytics engine
- Researching private equity industry trends and observations derived from the data output
- Preparation of quarterly reporting materials using data outputs
- Liaising with internal/external parties on data requests and reports
- Work on new analytics initiatives (e.g. developing new analytics dashboards, refining of existing dashboards and processes)
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree qualification (preferably in finance/accounting discipline if the candidate has no relevant work experience)
- Well-versed in excel especially Vlookup and Index Match
- Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting concepts (be it from relevant work experience or studies)
- Coding/dashboard building experience (e.g. VBA, Python, R, Tableau, QlikSense, Microsoft Power Automate/BI)
- Must be able to commit to the contract duration
- Meticulous with an eye for detail, able to handle large volume of qualitative/quantitative data
